Causin' a Ruckus by Double-Dippin' with The Donnas after SnoCap!

AKA Episode 3 of Mind The Gap!(Download HERE, click below to play)

The third episode of your friendly-neighborhood marketing podcast is all about the music. In this episode I talk about Ruckus giving college students free music, Baidu teaming with EMI to stream free music to Chinese search users, and SnoCap's partnership with MySpace and Merlin to let independent artists sell music through their MySpace pages. And finally, I throw in a tune from The Donnas, after talking about the fan-run site TheDonnasMedia.com, and how the band is selling more music, by empowering their fans to give it away.

And as always, all this marketing goodness can be yours in less than 15 minutes!

First! (I've always wanted to do that.)

Mack: congratulations — you're making it all happen!

Second! I've always wanted to follow in Roger's footsteps. :)

Mack, the Podcasts keep sounding better and better. I'm beginning to wish I was from the south!

Keep up the great work.

third - albeit weeks behind :) and in some mighty BIG shadows -
Bravo, Mack!

Having spent some time in the music industry, I couldn't agree more that labels have to open up the music a little more to the web/blog community. It seems kinda crazy that there are all these people with blogs who want to give FREE marketing to their new favourite band, but they are being restricted from doing this by the labels.

Great podcast, I will be stopping by regularly to have a listen.
